What Is Big Thinking?

What Is Big Thinking?

When it comes to big thinking, it is important that you clearly understand exactly what big thinking is and what it entails. If you think about it, you can’t successfully put any process into place if you don’t understand that process first. So let’s take a look at what thinking big involves.

As you can tell from the name, thinking big is a mental process. Thinking big is about recognizing that you can accomplish whatever you want, no matter how big the dream, if you believe in yourself and are willing to put in the work that will allow you to make that dream a reality. Yet, despite being a mental process, thinking big isn’t restricted to only to thought. It is also about taking action on your positive thoughts and conquering you fears and inhibitions so that you get successfully to your goal.

A lot of people don’t succeed at the process of thinking big for the same reason. They simply won’t change the way that they think. You see changing the way that you think is one of the most important changes that you can make. However, change is frightening to most people. It is this fear that condemns these people to continue thinking small and, therefore, acting small. Why is this so? For one very simple reason – our thoughts have a direct effect on how we act. On the other hand, how we act also has a direct effect on how we think. Thought and action are tied together. They are a two-way street. Behavioral traffic freely goes both ways – from thought to action and from action to thought. Each one changes the other and both can move you forward or hold you back, depending on your state of mind.

So, it is only when you have a good handle on how thought and action interact can you begin to purposefully control your own big thoughts. This is because big thinking must be a way of life. There is no room for half measures or back sliding behavior. You must be committed to eliminating all negative thoughts and actions from your life. You must be committed to believing in yourself and believing in your dreams as well. There is no other way. Any other path leads back to small thoughts, small actions and a small and narrow world view. So, it’s either go big or go small when it comes to the process of thinking big.

How To Regain Personal Momentum

TheMomentumPrinciple_Design5_04

Have you lost the enthusiasm and sense of purpose in your personal life? Some signs might be that you’re tired all the time, out of shape, bored, lack self-confidence and feel stuck in a rut. You’ve lost your momentum.

When you lose your personal momentum you lose the desire to pull yourself up and get going again. It’s like you’re stuck in quicksand and it keeps pulling you down. Unlike quicksand, you have to start moving again to gain the momentum you lost and get back into the life you want. Here are some tips to get back in the momentum game:

  • Socialize – Gain energy from positive people in your life. Take advantage of friends and family members you feel great being around.
  • Set ONE priority – It’s easy to become overwhelmed by things you must do. If you set one priority for an activity, you’ll be more apt to finish it.
  • Make time – Set a time in concrete to begin the activity. Do it no matter how you feel at the moment.
  • Make space for the activity – Set yourself up for success by making room for the work you’re about to do. That may mean clearing off your desk or setting your alarm clock for an earlier wake-up time.
  • Complete the project – Don’t stop or look back or forward until you completely finish the project at hand.
  • Use a timer – Until that timer goes off, be committed to work on the activity or project you set as a priority. No checking emails or answering the phone until it’s completed or the timer rings.
  • Set small increments of time – Especially at first – you don’t want to overwhelm yourself, so set small amounts of time to devote to your project that will be easy to do.
  • Don’t let anything stand in your way – Take some type of action toward your goal even if you don’t feel like it or something monumental happens to ruin your day. Do something.
  • Don’t skip your work times –Whether it’s exercising or getting busy on a novel, meet the times you set for work like it’s a life or death appointment.

“Stuff” is bound to happen to push you off track. You or a family member could catch the flu and be inundated with doctors’ appointments and bed rest. Your car might break down or your job might require that you work evenings.

The main thing about regaining personal momentum is not to give up. You’ve got to drag yourself back up and begin or restart again and never look back. It’s a skill that all those who have accomplished great things has learned –and it’s a skill you must practice to reach your goals and fulfill your dreams.

25 Days of Power- Day 4 The Power of Forgiveness”

25 Days of Power – Day 4 “Use The Power of Forgiveness” (Part 1)

The biblical principles that God tells us to abide by in the Bible are all there for our own good. They are there to protect us physically, mentally and spiritually. In the Lord’s Prayer it says, “Forgive us our trespassers as we forgive those who trespass against us.”

Why is forgiveness so important? Why is it essential to our own well-being and our spiritual walk?

There are two reasons. First, unforgiveness hinders our relationship with God. We are disobeying him if we don’t forgive others, which impede our relationship with him. It also leads to harbored resentment toward the person who has sinned against us. We cannot love God and hate our fellow man, as written (Mat 22:39) “….Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself”.  Harboring unforgiveness  will keep us in a state of mind that will dull our spiritual walk.

Second, unforgiveness can lead to internal emotional turmoil. It means that we are permanently tied to the act of sin against us. We cannot get over it or get release from it, and move on with our lives until we forgive the person and put the consequences of their actions into God’s hands to deal with. Bad things that have been done to us in the past cannot be changed. Holding  grudges does not help us and does not hurt the persons who we hold the grudge against. They have sinned against us and moved on with their lives, but we cannot detach ourselves and move on until we give it over to God and forgive them.

Forgiveness releases us from the bondage of resentment and bitterness and gives us freedom and peace.

Today’s Power Challenge:

Use the power of your faith to forgive those who have wronged you in the past and commit to move forward in your life by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

25 Days of Power – Self-Improvement Challenge

25 Days of Power – Day 1 “You Are Empowered By God”

Did you know God has provided ways in His word to empower His children? Did you know there are specific things you can do to contribute to answered prayer, good health, a peaceful life and more? It’s true!

Once we are saved, we don’t just float through our days hoping to catch God in a good mood when He is willing to answer prayer or provide for our needs. His word gives us many things we can do continually to set His hand in motion.

If we do what God instructs us to do then He will give us all He has promised to give. This if/then type of promise is called a covenant promise. It operates the same as when an attorney draws up a contract between two people. One party agrees to do a particular thing and – after it is done – a second party agrees to do something else. God empowers us to have control of certain circumstances by offering us these covenant promises or blessings.

You Go First

God usually wants us to take the action He has laid out in His word before we are rewarded. He empowers us to do what we should then rewards us once we have done it.

Today’s Self-Empowerment Challenge:

Read through your Bible today, make note of the times God empowers you. You may want to make a list or mark the verses in your Bible as you find them so you can remember when to act and what to do to release God’s best in your life. Many times your actions are all that stand in the way of answered prayers. Is God waiting on you?

Seven Key Points on the Power of Words – FREE TELECALL

FREE TELECALL JUNE 26

FREE TELECALL JUNE 26

One of my favorite scriptures is Proverbs 18:21 which says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” The Message Bible makes it even more clear – Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose.”

Words have great power, especially those words that you are using every day.  Most people underestimate the great power of words. Just a single word can make a person’s day or even shatter it. Words can destroy and they can also build something. Your words can create a great impact on the lives of other people and your own life. The words that come from your mouth can make a great change in the lives of other people.

Your voice is powerful! Has God given you a message that can transform the lives of those who hear it? Are you unsure about how to shape your message so that those who hear it will be impacted by the power of your words?
