November 17, 2016 Leave a comment

Need to squeeze more time out of each day? I’m going to get right to it…

If you’re like MOST people, you’re wasting the most precious and limited resource you have – your time. Every second the clock ticks away at another moment of your life, and that’s time that you will NEVER get back. You can’t save it, you can’t hoard it, you can’t stash it away to use another day. When it’s gone, it’s gone, and it’s the most valuable thing you’ve ever been given. Fortunately, with just a few simple techniques, you can mine more usable time from your existing supply, and I can show you how.

5 Powerful Morning Habits to Help You Become More Successful

November 8, 2016 Leave a comment

Are you a morning person? Many people enjoy getting up at the sunrise and having a cup of coffee while they browse the web and others prefer to sleep in as long as possible but the most successful people in the world embrace the mornings and in fact there are certain habits that the successful people all seem to share. Here are five powerful habits that will help you become more successful.

1. Get up Early: have you heard the adage early to bed, early to rise? The rest of it is that it makes a man (or woman) healthy, wealthy and wise but in this case it really does make you more successful. If you read about the most successful entrepreneurs out there, you will notice that they get up very early and start their day – and they usually get quite a bit accomplished in the morning as well.
2. Start with Exercise: studies have shown that people who exercise in the morning are5-morning-habits much better equipped to handle the day. You’ll be able to use your brain better, you’ll have more energy and you will simply be better at all of the tasks that you attempt after a half hour or so of exercise. This doesn’t have to be extremely strenuous; it could just be a jog through the park or a bike ride. The important thing is that you exercise.
3. Eat a Good Breakfast: breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you probably know that because experts have been saying it for decades. If you aren’t a breakfast person, you’re not alone. There are lots of people out there who prefer not to eat breakfast and just wait until lunch rolls around. But eating breakfast could help you be more productive and if you try it once you might find that you really enjoy the results.
4. Do the Hardest Thing First: when you get started in the morning don’t go with the easy tasks first. Tackle the hardest project that you have; the one that you’re dreading above all of the others. Once you get that one out of the way, you’ll find that the other projects are easy to accomplish and your day will go much smoother.
5. Prepare the Previous Day: the night before, try to prepare as much as you can so that you’re ready to sit down and get to work as soon as morning comes.

3 Powerful Ways to Recognize an Opportunity

November 8, 2016 Leave a comment

opportunity-knocks

If you want to be a successful entrepreneur one of the things that you’re going to have to do is be able to recognize opportunity when it knocks. An opportunity to fill a much needed gap in the market or to change your business to take advantage of a trend could mean the difference between a little bit of success and a huge amount. But you must know what these opportunities look like so that you can grab them when you see them. Here are three ways to recognize an opportunity.

1.  It Might Not Be Perfect

One of the earmarks of a good opportunity is that it doesn’t sound too good to be true. A true opportunity that has great potential isn’t going to be perfect when you encounter it. You’re going to have to do the work to make it into a successful venture. However, one thing that should have is potential. If you can see it becoming a great idea in the future than it might just be the opportunity that you been looking for but just be sure that just because an idea is imperfect that you don’t discard it completely.

2.  It Is Built on Previous Failures

The best ideas are the ones that have evolved over time because they have been honed through past failures. If an idea has been through the furnace of discovery, there is a much greater chance of it working when you decide to implement it. In other words, you might want to give an idea time to fail a few times before you decide to run with it yourself, because otherwise, you’ll be making all of those mistakes yourself and that won’t result in the grand opportunity the you’re envisioning.

3.  It Might Not Be What It Was Intended to Be Used for Originally

Some of the best ideas that have ever been thought of were completely different takes on what a product or service was originally intended for. The idea might’ve been a failure as it was intended but it sparked an entire new thought process and brand-new applications. These accidental inventions ended up being something completely different because someone had the ability to see past the original application. For example, both the slinky and silly putty toys were intended for industrial application. However, they failed as intended and instead became some of the most popular toys ever invented.

Finish Strong

finish strong

As we approach the end of the year, we tend to rush forward full speed ahead. With holiday madness and other tasks that need to be done by the end of the year, who has time to neatly tie a ribbon around the last 12 months and call it a wrap?  However, finishing strong may be just the thing you need to do to create a strong start for the new year.

What if bringing completion to what has past is as important, if not more so, than planning for the future? What if you knew that you are essentially sabotaging your future success by not stopping and taking stock of what you have accomplished this year and where you are at present?

In sports, there are many examples of where a strong finish is the difference between success and second best. For example, that last thrust forward of the wheel in a bike sprint to win by an inch or the running back who reaches out his hand with the ball to barely cross the goal line with seconds remaining on the clock.

How can you make the next few weeks a strong finish for your year? What can you do to bring completion to this chapter of your life?  Completion is what allows you to leave the past in the past.  Otherwise, it is like dragging a wagon of unfinished business along with you every day.  Not only is it exhausting but it also prevents you from achieving your dreams in the future.  After all, you can’t climb a mountain with a wagon in tow.

“There is no room in the future for your past.”

As you bring this year to a close, take an hour and consider the following:

– What did I accomplish this year? Make a list of all your accomplishments, big and small from the last 12 months and celebrate!

– What did I hope to accomplish but didn’t? Is this something I still really want?  (You are not allowed to beat yourself up on this step.)

– Make a list of all the people in your life for which you are grateful. Contact at least 5 of these people and thank them for what they bring to your life.

– Is there anyone I need to forgive or make amends with? If so, lighten your load and do what you feel is necessary to forgive, repair, or let go of this burden.

– Do at least one thing each day that allows you to simply enjoy today. There is no better step for honoring the past and creating an inspiring future than being fully present and enjoying where you are right now.

I am here to help you finish this year strong as a winning champion. Starting November 5, 2014 is my “Covering All Bases” 21 Days Challenge – Strategies for Hitting A Home Run To End The Year As A Champion.

The Order of Things!

October 11, 2013 Leave a comment

As we approach the end of this year and prepare to embrace the coming new year “order” will be essential in determining how we close out this year and enter into the new year. One spiritual definition of order is “a standard of living which places your life on a definable track and makes life less complicated by eliminating confusion (Bishop I. V. Hilliard).”

A principle step in effectiveness and productivity is organization. God is a God of order, therefore we should have order. To establish order, you must begin first in the unsupervised areas of your life. These are the areas that have been left unattended and without structure. These are the areas weeds may be growing around because they were not properly cared for.

In order to properly care for these areas you will need a well organized plan.

Four Critical Things Needed to Assemble and Organize Your Life:

1. Confidence in the manufacturer’s instructions. You must trust in the Word of God for your life.
2. You need a visualization point. A picture of what it should look like.
3. The appropriate tools required for the task. Get your supplies ready!
4. Follow the steps in the instructed sequential order, as ordered by the Lord.

Order in your life will help you to complete only God-given and God-approved assignments.

Remember: God will not sustained what He has not birthed.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. Walk in the steps God has ordered for your life.

Get Your Life In Order! In other words, Get Yourself Together!

Your Assignment: Answer the following questions.:

What area or areas of your life do you need to bring order to?

How do you plan to organize these areas?
